A young man of our acquaintance is having a birthday party this afternoon and we are invited. Yesterday we set out in search of a present.
The thought of a vast emporium like Toys r Us was too daunting, so we went to a very small shop instead and bought Gordon, a blue engine, from Thomas the Tank Engine. On the way home we bought a real flashlight.
I like quirky, handmade, boring good taste stuff, though I'm not sure children always do.
